Part of the New Prophetic Wineskin for Prophetic Ministry
A new wineskin for a new season

When we look at what is taking place across the nations and the current global season not just nationally, although the national season fits within a global context; is prophetic ministry maybe within local church or local regions being positioned to respond to what God is doing in the earth, or are we still operating within the limitations of how we have always done prophetic ministry?

I believe God is calling the prophetic ministry into a different dimension of wineskin. A lot of prophetic ministry is about the local church or church gathering or what He is saying in a house group. But we are in a season where local prophetic people in a local church are being called to move beyond a local-church mindset and begin to see with a global prophetic perspective.

This is not about abandoning the local church. The local church remains important. But it is about recognising that our prophetic calling cannot be confined to the four walls of a church building, the Sunday morning service, or the building of our own ministries.

There is a bigger picture. This has always been the case, but I think especially in the UK church there is a heightened focus on the bigger picture then just building up the local church.

God is concerned about the nations. He is concerned about the land, about what is happening in the earth, and about His purposes being established in the midst of global conflict and uncertainty.

This is a season to pioneer something different in the Church—not simply for the sake of building churches and ministries, but a shift in the prophetic wineskin with a renewed focus on the sake of the land and away from the ‘bless me club’ mentality of some churches, the inslure inward looking mentality of some churches.

Prophetic ministry with more of a focus on speaking into the season of the earth. There is an increasing call for people who have a prophetic ministry, to be even more in turn and aligned to the seasons of heaven and function out of those seasons.

What is God doing and saying in heaven over the land? not what we see earthly. One of the roles of the prophetic is to call forth heavenly alignment into the earth, weather that is people, churches or regions, cities and nations.

Prophetic ministry for the sake of the land

I believe one of the shifts taking place is a move away from prophetic ministry that is primarily focused on performance, platform building, empire building, and the economic growth of churches.

Is prophetic ministry, simply about building a successful church? Is it to create a thriving ministry, grow a platform, or produce a good Sunday morning experience? Is it simply about blessing one another with a new ‘word’ and nice bit of encouragement?

Or is there a greater purpose—to hear what God is saying and declare His purposes into the earth?

I believe prophetic ministry is being called back to something much bigger than ourselves.

It is about discerning the destiny of God over the land. It is about understanding what heaven is saying concerning nations, cities, regions, and territories. It is about speaking into the circumstances of the earth and calling for heavenly alignment with the purposes of God.

The prophetic is not just for the encouragement of individuals within a congregation. It also has a responsibility to help the Church discern the times and seasons in which we are living and how the local church functions and conducts ministry within those seasons.

When we look at a season of global conflict, we cannot afford to have a prophetic perspective that only sees what is happening within our own church or ministry. We need to break the wineskin of insular prophetic ministry.

We need to ask what God is saying to the nation, the region, how the Church is called to respond, and how we can stand in agreement with His purposes in the earth in the current season.

The question is no longer simply, just “What is God saying to me or our church?” but also, “What is God saying concerning the land, the nations, and this moment in history?”

That requires a different level of listening, a different level of discernment, and a willingness to step beyond familiar boundaries.

The Church rising into spiritual warfare

If prophetic ministry is going to have a global perspective, then it must also recognise the spiritual responsibility of the Church in the season we are entering.

We cannot simply observe what is happening in the nations and leave the Church on the sidelines.

The Church is called to pray, discern, stand, and respond. The most significant body in the land is not the government, politicians, police; it’s the praying church.

I believe prophetic ministry has a responsibility to equip the whole Body of Christ to understand the times and seasons and to release the church to function in those seasons. It is about awakening and equipping the entire prophetic ministry in the uk Church to a new wineskin.

It is about helping believers understand that prayer impacts nations, discernment matters, and our willingness to stand in agreement with God's purposes in the land matters.

The prophetic ministry releasing revelationary insight into how to pray for your communities and their nations. We need prophetic people who are willing to listen to God beyond the immediate concerns of their own ministries. We need a Church that understands its spiritual responsibility in the land.

The prophetic ministry must not simply demonstrate spiritual gifts; it must equip the Church to stand in its calling in this season for the sake of the land.

This requires us to think differently about how we train, equip, disciple, raise up and release people in the prophetic.

The rising and releasing of an Esther anointing

This brings me to what I believe is a significant part of this new prophetic wineskin: the rising and releasing of an Esther anointing.

The book of Esther shows a woman who was positioned for a particular moment in history.

Esther did not initially understand the full significance of her position. But when the moment came, she had to recognise that her royal position carried a significance beyond herself.

In Esther 4:14, Mordecai asks her:

“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

The position God has brought us into is not simply for our own blessing, our own influence, or the success of our own ministries and churches or prophetic ministry that it just focused on building one another up in the Lord, because the church is being repositioned for the sake of the land?

Esther had access to the king, and she used her access as the bride to change the plans of the enemy over the land. In the same way, I believe God is calling the Bride of Christ into a deeper understanding of her identity, and spiritual authority, for the sake of the land. To release the decrees of the King into the land and disrupt the plans of the enemy over the land.

He is raising up Esthers who recognise that they have been positioned for such a time in history as this.

The Bride is not simply being prepared to enjoy the presence of the King. She is being prepared to represent His purposes in the earth.

The rising of the Esthers is about the Bride coming into her royal identity and recognising the responsibility and authority that goes with her position.

It is about moving beyond small-minded thinking and limited expectations of prophetic ministry. It is about recognising that God can position His bride to influence the direction of a land through prayer, prophetic revelation, and the declaration of His purposes.

Releasing the prophetic decrees of the King into the earth

One of the most powerful parts of Esther's is found in chapter 8.

After Esther brings the crisis before the king, a way is made for a new decree to be issued to protect the Jewish people.

Esther 8:8 records the king's instruction:

“Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring.”

The significance of this moment is that Esther's access to the king becomes an opportunity to act on behalf of the people.

The king's authority is brought to bear on the crisis facing the land.

The church is the ecclissa- it carries governmental authority- in the spirit realm in the land. And part of the new prophetic wineskin is an awakening of the authority of the ecclissa and equipping the church in that realm to release the decrees of the king into the land for such a time as this.

I believe God is calling the Church into a greater understanding of what it means to stand in the authority of Christ and to release prophetic declarations that agree with His heart for the land.

This is not simply about making declarations within a church service. It is about discerning what God is saying concerning the land.

The rising Esthers are being called to take their place—.

In Daniel 7:25, we read the enemy seeking to change the set times and seasons of the earth. Throughout Scripture, we see the importance of understanding God's appointed times and recognising the spiritual challenges that confront His purposes. Acts 17.26-7 God has appointment seasons and boundaries over nations.

Satan wants to change and alter the set seasons and times in heaven, he wants to move the boundary stone, over your life, church, nation, what ever. And in this season, its increasing, spiritual warfare has increased in the land, which means the prophetic is being increasingly called to equip the church this season to intercessed and pray and have and increasing land mindset. in seasons of global conflict and uncertainty, in times or wars and rumours of wars; the prophetic needs to think and act globally.

The prophetic movement of yesterday and the generation that helped established prophetic ministry in the church is changing its wineskin so the prophetic movement of tomorrow looks different.

We need to understand that the Church is called to be watchful, prayerful, and attentive to the purposes of God in the nations. Ask of me and I will make the nations your inherence the ends of earth your positions.

The Church is not called simply to react to what is happening in the land; it is called to seek God, discern His purposes, and respond in faithful spiritual authority and speak His word in the land.

Conclusion: For such a time as this

So, God is calling prophetic ministry to see beyond the local church and develop a global perspective.

He is calling us to move beyond performance, platform building, and the pursuit of our own ministries, own churches and to recover a vision for the land.

He is calling the prophetic to equip the whole Church to stand in the legislative governmental role of the ecclesia.

And He is calling forth the Esthers—the Bride of Christ rising into her identity, maturity, and authority, ready to act on behalf of the land.

It is a time for the Esthers to come forward.

It is a time for prophetic ministry to serve the purposes of God in the land.

And it is a time for the Church to hear the King, stand in His authority, and declare His will in the earth.

The call is to rise higher, see globally, and release the authority of the King into the earth—for the sake of the land and for such a time as this.
